Rise was a rebirthing and phase change as ice turns to water turns to steam. The songs reflect those changes.

The opening song “Miracles” is rebirth in the pop-rock genre. Two of the pieces, “Birds,” a found poem, and “Cottleston Pie (AA Milne Inspired),” are spoken word over experimental music. “Never Happen Here” and “Norwegien Ridgeback” are instrumentals, and “Herding Kitties” is experimental and an impossible task!
